Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Car Crash
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California aged 55.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
